In the new season of DR's popular entrepreneurship program, "Løvens Hule", an innovative student startup from Aalborg University (AAU) has secured investment totaling DKK 150,000 from entrepreneurs Anne Stampe Olesen and Tahir Siddique.

Linucare is the name of the company, which has developed an alarm app with a panic button that instantly alerts a network of relatives in emergency situations. In addition, Linucare has developed a physical safety button that can be strategically placed around the home or worn on clothing.

- Our technology is developed with a deep understanding of user needs and is designed to provide peace of mind, not only for those who use it, but also for their families and caregivers. I am proud to contribute to this important mission, says Nicklas Lynge, who studies Business Administration at Aalborg University Business School and participates in the AAU Startup Program.

Together with Thomas Vinter, a former student at Aalborg University, he has founded Linucare. With the investment from the entrepreneurs, Linucare now has the opportunity to continue developing the company and reach a broader market.

Investors see great opportunities

In an interview with TechSavvy Media, investors Anne Stampe Olesen and Tahir Siddique express great enthusiasm for the company. Anne Stampe says, among other things:

- Linucare has an exciting position in the market because their technology caters to both young people who experience insecurity in the nightlife and elderly people who need security at home. At the same time, the technology creates a sense of security for the networks of young people and the elderly, who have the opportunity to be informed in emergency situations.

Tahir Siddique invested DKK 100,000 for 20 percent ownership and Anne Stampe put in DKK 50,000 for 10 percent.

The week after Linucare's participation in Løvens Hule, another startup related to AAU participated in the program. Tahir Siddique invested DKK 250,000 in the company Qookware, founded by Mike Horup and Mathias Lydersen. The latter is a former AAU student and has, among other things, participated in the entrepreneurship program 'Internship in your own business' at AAU in 2020.

What is Løvens Hule?

What is Løvens Hule? Løvens Hule is a Danish television program broadcast on DR1, known for giving entrepreneurs a platform to present their business ideas to a panel of experienced investors - also known as 'lions'. The entrepreneurs try to persuade the lions to invest in their business by presenting their business plans, products or services and negotiating a financial deal.

The lions are a group of successful business people and investors who have achieved significant success in business themselves. They have the opportunity to invest in the presented companies in exchange for a share of ownership. If a deal is struck, it is often followed by mentoring support from the Lions to help develop the business. The judging panel this season consists of Anne Stampe Olesen, Tahir Siddique, Nikolaj Nyholm, Louise Herping Ellegaard and Morten Larsen.
