The two AAU students and entrepreneurs, Mikkel Krogshede and Jonas Koefoed, received the NOVI Scholarship 2024 on Friday. The award was presented at AAU's annual celebration and 50th anniversary celebration at Musikkens Hus in Aalborg on 19 April.
The NOVI Scholarship is awarded by NOVI to students for an entrepreneurial idea with sufficiently sustainable potential such that the concept can be translated into a business. The selection process requires qualified applicants to pitch their idea in front of a panel of judges.
Mikkel Krogshede and Jonas Koefoed study Sports Science and Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering, respectively, at AAU. The entrepreneurial adventure started with a semester project in 2019 where Mikkel Krogshede got the idea for how to minimize the risk of chronic shoulder pain in manual wheelchair users. In 2021, he enrolled in the AAU Startup Program and founded Pull & GO. After this, Jonas Koefoed Petersen joined the journey, and with contributions from each of their disciplines, they chose to embark together on a career as entrepreneurs.
The NOVI Scholarship is DKK 250,000. In addition, NOVI provides office space and legal and accounting assistance.
